Cash Flow Loans to Non-Profit Organizations
The GNHCLF makes cash flow loans to area non-profit organizations for operating expenses impacted by delays in receiving grants or contract fees, or for capital improvement needs for qualified organizations. Applications will be handled on a case-by-case basis and are carefully evaluated for the organization’s stability, need and risk.
Borrowers are required to submit a preliminary letter, describing the organization and the amount and nature of request, in order to enable the Fund to determine their eligibility. Preliminary letters should be mailed or faxed to the attention of Raquel Santiago-Martinez, Director of Lending.
Once determined eligible, borrowers may initiate a formal loan application including:
-
A narrative description of the history, membership, programs and activities of the organization
-
Copies of the current year operating budget, including year-to-date actuals and funding sources
-
A statement of real estate holdings, if any
-
A financial statement showing current assets and liabilities
-
A copy of the organization’s certificate of incorporation
-
A copy of the 501 (c) 3 verification
-
A list of members of the Board of Directors with their addresses and business affiliations
-
The specific dollar amount of the loan request and the proposed repayment schedule
-
A copy of the Board resolution authorizing the loan request
-
A description of why the loan is necessary and how the loan will be used
